2010 SALA Awards
SALA Festival 2010 Awards go to:
The Advertiser Business SA Contemporary Art Prize for the most outstanding work in any medium for 2010. Prize consists of $5000 cash. Recepient: Jen Trantor - Dress 1
Atkins Technicolour Photographic Award for Artists working with photo based artwork, including, but not limited to, manipulated photography (digital or otherwise). Prize consists of an edition of three A1 Giclee Archival Fine Art Prints. Recepient: Alex Franye
Centre for Creative Photography Developing Artist Award for Photo based artwork including photography and moving image, who wish to develop their skills in photography. Prize consists of Centre for Creative Photography Course Voucher worth $500. Recepient: Alison Woodward
Core Energy Group Sculture Award for an outstanding sculpture piece. Prize consists of $1000 cash. Recepient: Samantha Bell
Gosia Schild Award for Best New Work in the Moving Image Project for the best new work in the Moving Image Project Prize consists of $500 cash. Recepient: Kyriaki Maragozidis
JamFactory Contemporary Craft and Design Award for artists working in jewellery, furniture, cermanics, metal, glass, fibre and textiles. The award will consist of an exhibition in JamFactory's Studio Works retail gallery, a high profile space fronting Morphett Street in the vibrant Lions Art Centre in Adelaide's West End Precinct. Recepient: Ilona Glastonbury
Rip It Up Special Art Award which recognises artists with intellectual disability and/or organisations that specifically support their development. Recepient: Tutti Visual Arts and Design
Rip It Up Young Artist Award for the Best Young Artist 18-30 years in any medium. The winner must not be a reciepient of any previous major visual art award. Prize consists of $500 cash. Recepient: Kristy Shadiac
SA Life Emerging Artist Award for artists working in any medium who have had their first solo exhibtion in the past five years, Prize consists of $500 cash. Recepient: Nic Brown
Adelaide Central School of Art Professional Development Award for Artists working in any medium that graduated in the previous 3 years with an undergraduate degree. Prize consists of $500 towards the cost of an ACSA Short Course or Master Class and an exhibition in the ACSA Studio Gallery in 2011. Recepient: Angela Black
Oz Minerals Copper Sculpture Award will give two artists and one school the opportunity to create works of art using copper for the 2011 SALA Festival. Artists will be able to apply for materials and funds to help with production costs and transportation of copper.

2. Regional South Australian Artists- Upper Spencer Gulf and Far North- Recepient: Rachel Young
3.South Australian School Students- Regional or Metro- Recepient: Victor Harbour High School
