Love Art?
Congratulations to all South Australian visual artists and supporting venues for making this the 13th SALA Festival such a resounding success.
For 24 days. the 2010 South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival July 30- August 22 captured our imagination, inspired us and challenge our perceptions, whilst inviting conversation and ignited appreciation of our proudly South Australian visual artists.
With over 3,000 South Australian painters, ceramicists, photographers, designs, scultptors, digital media artists and so much more exhibting across 518 official metropolitan and regional wineries, cafes, galleries, hotels, boutiques, restaurants, book stores, libraries and pubs to name but a few neighbourhoods, communities and visitors were able to be touched by art somewhere throughout each corner of our magnificent state.
The stories that our artists shared, reflected in their work, or in person in an open studio or workshop provide us with an experience unlike any other.
We asked you to take an hour, a day or the weekend to experience our local talent, local produce and the love of art.
We would like to acknowledge and thank each of the outstanding emerging and established visual artists who registered for this year's festival and the venues and galleries who have supported them.
To our brilliant Major Sponsors, Festival Partner, Sponsors, Supporters, Official Suppliers and Award Partners, you provide the backbone from which we build and finally a pat on the back to the SALA team, our volunteers and Board.
