The SALife Emerging Artist Award of $500 is for the most outstanding work in any medium by an artist who has graduated from a recognised Art School or Mentorship Program in the last two years.

The Centre for Creative Photography are offering two awards for the 2008 SALA Festival.
The Centre for Creative Photography Emerging Artist Award for emerging artists registered in the 2008 SALA Festival, working with photo based artwork including photography and moving image, who wish to develop their skills in photography. The award consists of a CCP course voucher worth $500.

The Centre for Creative Photography Established Artist Award for established artists registered in the SALA Festival, working with photo based artworks including photography and moving image. The award consists of in kind assistance to the value of $500. This could include studio/darkroom hire or mentorship.
The Centre for Creative Photography Established Artist Award: PDF Word
The Core Energy Sculpture Award is for artists registered in the 2008 SALA Festival for an outstanding sculpture piece. The award consists of a $1500 cash prize.

The Jam Factory Contemporary Craft and Design Award is open to South Australian artists working in jewellery, furniture, ceramics, metal, glass, fibre and textiles, who are participating in the 2008 SALA Festival. The award will consist of an exhibition in Jam Factory's Studio Works retail gallery, a high profile space froning Morphett Street in the vibrant Lion Arts Centre in Adelaide's West End Arts Precinct.

2008 Atkins Award is open for SALA participants in either photo based work or non-photographic mediums. Price consists of A1 Giclee Archival Fine Art Prints. Two winners will be announced.
